Ashton Hill Plantation

Picture of Ashton Hill PlantationSituated near the village of Failand, North Somerset, approximately 4 miles west of Bristol. It’s a mixed woodland with conifers and broadleaves and areas of ancient woodland. There is a magnificient stand of California Redwoods (Sequoia sempervirens). It is owned by the Forestry Commission, 60 hectares (148 acres).

Access

There is a good network of hard surfaced and un-surfaced paths and a car park.

How to get there...

You can get to Ashton Hill Plantation from the B3129 at Failand. There is a car park at the site, (OS Explorer 154, grid reference ST 518 710).
