Free Trees Scheme

The Free Trees Scheme is exactly what it says it is – a way for you to directly support tree planting by local people in the West (formerly Avon).

The Free Trees Scheme enables local  groups to take action and improve where they live.

Under the Free Tree Scheme, we provide trees for free to community groups, schools, parishes and local councils for use in appropriate community planting projects to create new woodlands, copses, hedges and small 'corner plantings'.

Trees for the scheme are supplied by the BTCV Forest of Avon Tree Life Centre, a local community tree nursery.  We cover the cost of a tree plus a little extra to and support their work with the community growing native tree species from locally collected seed.

How to apply for Free Trees

There are a few criteria. To find out if you qualify, simply download the Free Trees Form, fill it in and send it to us. We'll take it from there.

How to donate funds to support the Free Trees scheme

The Free Trees Scheme is funded entirely by donations. One tree costs £6.  So for every £6 you donate you will be giving a tree to a local group to plant, as well as supporting the work of the Forest of Avon Trust and the Tree Life Centre.

If you would like to donate to the Free Trees Scheme, please contact the Forest of Avon Trust on 01179 963 3383.

Other Ways to Support the Forest of Avon Trust
