The woodland was planted in 1998 and has excellent views of Bristol, the Avon Gorge and the Welsh Hills. The site has full public access and lies off the Monarch’s Way recreational route (public footpath).

Access

There are no hard surfaced paths and the terrain is uneven with some steep slopes. There is no car park but limited parking is available nearby on the road.

How to get there...

You can get to Little Down Wood from the point at which the Monarch's Way route crosses with Dundry Lane, (OS Explorer 155, grid reference ST 550 670).
