Think about your Travel

Try not to drive
It’s an obvious one, but worth it!  Think whether you need to make the trip in the car.

Walk, cycle and use public transport
Try walking or cycling to travel short distances cut down on your car use. Try to plan your journey and use public transport.

Drive more efficiently
If you have to drive, do it more efficiently! Turn your engine off while in traffic, drive more smoothly and slowly, keep you tyres at the correct pressure, share the school run or walk the kids to school, service your car regularly and remove your roof rack/box if you’re not using it. Also, when it’s time to buy a new car, get one with lower emissions.

Try not to fly
We all enjoy travelling abroad and have to fly occasionally of course, but just think a little before you book that ticket. Try to cut down on unnecessary flights - think about taking holidays at home or try to make the trip another way, such as by bus, train or ferry.
