We believe that everybody should be able to enjoy the woodlands and green spaces of the Forest of Avon.

Many of the sites in the list of Places to Visit have made special provision for people with differeing access requirements, such as wheelchair users, those on walking sticks and people with pushchairs and young families.

Each site page includes a paragraph on Access which describes the provision at the site.

Woodlands For All

The Forest of Avon have worked with site owners and local partners to improve access in several  woodlands under our Woodlands For All programme. Click here to see details of that programme and links to the sites that have been improved.

Sites with Good Access

Some of the sites in the Forest of Avon have good provision for wheeled access. The following are definitely worth checking out -

• Badocks Wood
• Golden Valley
• Manor Road
• Oke Park Wood
• Three Brooks

The following walking/cycling routes are also good for access with a wheelchair or pushchair. For some of the routes that might not apply for the whole route - please check the detailed information for each site.

• Bristol Bath Railway Path
• River Avon Trail
• Strawberry Line
