Meadow Drive Farm
Meadow Drive Farm is a new broadleaved woodland of just over 9 hectares, close to the River Avon between Keynsham and Bitton. The site, owned by a local farmer, was planted in 2002 / 2003 and has full public access.
The site is an excellent spot for a quiet picnic and has good views of the Cotswold Hills.
Access
The terrain is relatively level providing easy walking. All paths are grassed. There is no designated car park. The site is owned by a local farmer and has full public access.
Getting There
Meadow Drive can only be accessed via public footpaths. (OS grid reference: ST 669 695). One way to get there is via a pleasant walk along the River Avon Trail from Keynsham and then onto the Monarch's Way. An alternative route is from the Bristol & Bath Cycle Path and along the Monarch's Way.
If possible, please try to use environmentally friendly forms of transport wherever possible. The site can be easily accessed via a number of public footpaths. If you are planning on cycling, click here to view the Sustrans website showing a map of the National Cycle Network around Meadow Drive (the site is in the centre of the map, with the text 'Field Grove Fm' on top). Please be aware, however, that the closest you can get to the site by cycle is approx 0.5 km - the only way to finally access the site is from the Monarch's Way (public footpath).
