River Avon Trail

The River Avon Trail is a scenic riverside path between Pill Harbour and Bath. This 20 mile trail winds through a fascinating variety of landscapes from tidal mudflats and the steep Avon Gorge with Brunel's Clifton Suspension Bridge overhead, to Bristol's quaysides and the rolling countryside of the Cotswolds.

Access

The Trail is fairly level with a mixture of paths and pavements, there are very few stiles & gates, making the route ideal for families. You can also enjoy a quiet cycle away from busy roads along several sections of the Trail.

How to get onto the route...

You can get onto the River Avon trail at many different points, including Pill Harbour, Greville Smyth Park, Castle Park, Conham River Park, Hanham Weir, Keynsham, Saltford and Bath.
