Woodlands For All
The Forest of Avon Woods for All programme improves access in local woodlands, particularly for people with health and mobility problems, and for pople with pushchairs and young families.
You can now enjoy improved access routes in six North Somerset woodlands and get the accompanying leaflet and map from the Forest of Avon. Those leaflets are also available to download from this site.
New easy access leaflets, including clear path maps are now available for
Community Benefits
- A better and more welcoming woodland environment for people with special needs, local people and visitors.
- More special needs groups involved in local woodlands and learning about the value of trees and benefits of being in woodlands.
- Good quality information available to encourage more people to visit each woodland, particularly special needs groups who may not have visited the area before.
New Leaflet
Full-colour A4 leaflets providing a good quality simple map of each woodland, showing accessible routes and giving clear practical information as well as highlighting points of special interest.

Local Support & Involvement
Local organisations working with disabled people were invited to influence and comment the on the design and content of the leaflets and three Community Special Schools worked in the woodlands learning how to make wooden benches for each site.
