Wood School
Forest of Avon Wood School was a 3 year project funded by the Heritage lottery Fund to link children and communities with their local woodland heritage throughout the Forest of Avon.
This highly successful project worked in areas of high social need, supporting the development of outdoor learning through delivery of woodland engagement programmes for schools and training for teachers. A key aim of the project was to resource schools to be able to continue to provide ongoing and sustained outdoor learning provision in local woodlands and green space.
The Forest of Avon Trust hopes to deliver one or more Wood School programmes with local authorities and other partners in the future.
