Savages Wood Project Report

Forest School project for pre-school children with inclusion support needs

Click here to download a review of this project

This pioneering project took place in the summer of 2007 and engaged six pre-school children aged three to four with diverse inclusion needs. None of these children had been in a woodland environment prior to this project and several had major behaviour and communication needs, which had previously been barriers to family and practitioners taking them to new environments.

The project was run for South Gloucestershire Council's Inclusion Support Service and achieved such outstanding results that further forest school initiatives are now being developed throughout the county. Click the link below to download the full report.
