And it's local!
Outdoor timber structures designed, built and installed by local experts using timber from sustainable, predominantly local sources - from a bench to an oak-framed house, a complete school playground to a signboard or an interpretation panel, we have experts in their fields with years of experience to design, construct and install for you.
 Woodland and related services by trained and experienced people - woodland management hedgelaying, tree felling, dry stone walling, planting, coppicing, fencing, timber construction, grounds management. Our members are also able to pass on their expertise through training courses, demonstrations and workshops.
Timber, trees and woodland produce from managed local woodlands harvested and processed by local woodland businesses - trees grown from locally collected seed, charcoal produced in local woodlands, timber felled and processed within the Forest of Avon, firewood from timber waste, pea sticks and bean poles coppiced from a local nature reserve.

The Forest of Avon Wood Products Co-operative...
...is a not-for-profit cooperative of local woodworkers, artists, craftspeople, and woodland enterprises, producing and selling woodland products and services.
There are nearly 50 members currently in the co-op, ranging from sole traders to growing businesses and charities and social enterprises providing employment and training to people in need. When you buy from Forest of Avon Products, you not only support the local economy and environmnet, you are also encouraging personal development, health and the skills base across the region.
Much of the timber used is grown locally and harvested from well-managed woodlands within a 25-mile radius of the Forest boundary. Reclaimed and found timbers are also used.
Timber is an entirely sustainable material. In addition to storing carbon and reducing CO2 in the atmosphere, wood can be used to make a vast range of products - in 1753 Benjamin Banneker constructed a watch made entirely from wood that kept accurate time and struck the hours for over 50 years.
Promoting the use of locally sourced timber encourages the responsible use and management of valuable local woodland resources, not just now but long into the future - providing environmental improvments and beautiful places to visit for people now and for generations to come.
